Removal of a pilonidal sinus

A pilonidal sinus is a skin knot that is usually made up of hair and cellular debris. Pilonidal cyst is most commonly found at the top of the bone and most often occurs as a result of an ingrown hair that starts its growth path inward, entering so subcutaneously that it leads to inflammation above the intergluteal cleft. After the hair grows in, there is an inflammatory reaction of the organism and infection, followed by localized pulmonary infection-abscess.

The existence of an abscess leads to the occurrence of discomfort and pain. Pulmonary abscesses can be emitted through a small aperture on the skin or can be removed surgically. It most commonly occurs in younger men and often occurs in the same person several times. People who spend most of their days sitting in a sitting position are in greater danger from the formation of the pilonidal sinus. Surgical intervention lasts about 20 minutes and can be performed in infirmary or hospital conditions.
